Find my Sun is an Android app developed by Lorenzo Braghetto ("we", "the data controller"). This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and who it is shared with.
In short: Find my Sun has no account system, no server of our own, and does not build a profile about you. The data that leaves your phone consists of the technical requests needed to run the map, search, routing, and advertising, and it goes to the providers listed below.

For any request about your data, you can write to this address.
The app requires no registration and creates no account. We do not run an application server: there is no database where your personal data is stored. App preferences (for example, having completed the onboarding guide, or having purchased the Pro version) stay only on your device.
What: approximate or precise GPS location, if you grant the permission.
Why: to center the map where you are and to compute the suggested points nearby.
How it's processed: location is used on the device. It is not sent to us or stored by us. It is transmitted to third-party providers only when technically necessary for the feature you requested — for example, the starting coordinates when you ask for a route (section 5), or in approximate form for advertising purposes (section 7).
You can deny the permission: the app remains usable, and you can move the map manually or search for a place.
When you use the search bar, the text you type and the area the map is currently showing are sent to Google Places API, to get suggestions relevant to your area. The map area is transmitted as an approximate geographic reference to improve results.
We do not store your searches.
When you ask how to reach a point (a feature reserved to the Pro version), the starting and destination coordinates are sent to:
We do not store the calculated routes.
The app downloads maps and elevation data from storage hosted on Cloudflare R2. As with any request over the internet, the provider may log the IP address and technical request information for security and service-operation purposes. These requests do not contain an identifier tied to you and do not let us trace them back to you.
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob.
To show them, AdMob may process the device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID), technical device information, and approximate location derived from the IP address, for the purpose of selecting and measuring ads.
Consent: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, on first launch you are asked for consent through Google's form (User Messaging Platform). You can choose non-personalized ads and can change your choice at any time from the app's settings.
You can also reset or delete the Advertising ID from your device's Android settings.

Users who purchase the Pro version see no ads, and in that case the advertising component is never initialized.
The Pro version purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Payment happens through your Google account: we never see, process, or store any data about your card or payment method.
The app only receives from Google Play whether the purchase is active, to unlock the corresponding features. This information is stored only on your device.
To find and fix malfunctions, we use Firebase Crashlytics. When an error or crash occurs, technical data is collected: device model, OS version, app version, app state at the time of the error, and a randomly generated installation identifier.
This data does not contain your location, your searches, or your routes, and does not let us identify you.
Separately, Google Play automatically collects aggregate crash statistics for all apps distributed through the Store, as described in Google's own policy.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data, and to withdraw consent already given at any time. Since we do not store data that identifies you, many requests must be directed straight to the providers listed above; for any question, write to us and we will tell you how to proceed.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (https://www.garanteprivacy.it).
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Since we do not store personal data on our own systems, we do not apply our own retention periods. Data processed by third-party providers follows their respective policies.
Any changes to this policy will be published at this same address, with the update date shown at the top. Substantial changes will also be announced inside the app.
